Dr. Amaryllis Sánchez Wohlever earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, where she also received the Psychiatry Clinical Excellence and Research Award. She completed family medicine residency in 1997 and served as chief resident and as president of the Florida Association of Family Medicine Residents. She is a coach for physicians specializing in physician wellness, leadership development, and life-work integration. A national expert in physician wellness, she writes and speaks extensively about these topics throughout the country.
In 2008, she was privileged to help start Grace Medical Home, a state-of-the-art clinic for the uninsured in central Florida that has gained national attention. She has served two terms on the FAFP Board of Directors and serves on several committees at the state and national levels. She is a graduate of the FMA’s Physician Leadership Academy, has been a keynote speaker at FMA annual meetings and various national meetings, and helped launch the FMA’s statewide Healthy Living initiative in 2018.
